An Oasis In the Desert!

Ahhh...to sleep in and not have to rush off somewhere was wonderful!  As we have had such a busy schedule, we decided to not do much today besides rest, relax and just slow down.  We had a slow morning of swimming in their beautiful pool and washing some laundry.

We had enough food  with us to get us through the morning but after we had pulled ourselves together, we did venture out to get the car washed and vacuumed.  It was such a nice car wash, very inexpensive and we had 2 attendants wash all the bugs off from the previous 10 states that we had been driving through before we went through the car wash. We also got a free vacuum-whoo hoo!  Then we stopped at a  Walmart and picked up some food for the next 3 days as this was going to be our home base as we venture out to see the National Parks in this area.

 Back at home, we rested a bit and then back out to the pool.  It is VERY HOT here- around 112 degrees so we are very thankful for the pool and boy did it feel great!  We had chips/salsa and some shrimp for appetizers followed by lasagna, salad, fruit and bread.  It is nice to have home cooked meals.  After showers, we settled down to watch Tooth Fairy 2:  we greatly enjoyed the home theater set-up but the movie was terrible.
